Home-Style Food from India, Delivered Across UK Mainland by Saakshi's Kitchen

Home-Style Food from India, Delivered Across UK Mainland by Saakshi's Kitchen

Simi Gajala

You don't need a Saakshi's Kitchen on your high street to eat home-style food from India - one FSA 5-star kitchen cooks it, freezes it, and delivers it across UK mainland. This is how a single kitchen reaches most of the country, and what "home-style" actually means when the box lands on your doorstep.

Key takeaways

  • Every meal comes from one FSA 5-star rated FSA 5-star kitchen - the same recipes, the same hands.
  • Frozen delivery is what makes the distance work: the food travels frozen and waits in your freezer.
  • The menu is the Punjabi home repertoire - dal, rajma, chole, kadhi, sabzis - not a pan-Indian restaurant list.
  • We deliver across UK mainland; some areas we can't reach, so check your postcode.
  • 16,000+ deliveries made, rated 4.6 stars from 800+ verified reviews.

One kitchen, one standard

Most food brands scale by adding kitchens. We didn't. Everything Saakshi's Kitchen sends out is cooked in small batches in one FSA 5-star rated FSA 5-star kitchen - the same recipe every time, from one family kitchen, not a different kitchen every night. For food this personal, that consistency is the product: the rajma you order in March tastes like the rajma you ordered in January, because the same people cooked both.

How the distance actually works

Hot food survives a few miles; home cooking for the whole mainland needs a different route. Each dish is cooked, then frozen at the kitchen, and sent out in insulated packaging so it arrives still frozen. From there it lives in your freezer until you want it. Cook or reheat straight from frozen until piping hot, following the pack instructions - and once a meal has defrosted, eat it within 24 hours and never refreeze it.

Freezing is not a compromise here; it is the honest way to move home-cooked food a long way without pretending it was cooked round the corner.

What "home-style food from India" means

Not the British curry-house canon, and not a banquet. The menu is the weekly rotation an Indian home kitchen actually runs: dal tadka, rajma chawal, chole, kadhi, baingan ka bharta, seasonal sabzis, with paneer dishes and chicken curries alongside - our kitchen-cooked meats are halal. The masala is built from scratch every batch - onion, tomato, ginger and garlic, bhuno'd properly - with the everyday spices of the home pantry: haldi, jeera, dhania, hing, methi. Spiced, not hot. Restaurant Indian is celebration food; this is Tuesday-night food, which is exactly why people order it week after week.
