Tried Homemade Indian food of Saakshis for the first time in December last year and I must say that they provide the best Indian home made food in the whole of UK. Have been continuously ordering from them since then for my family of 3. Have been ordering vegetarian and the dishes are very high on taste and very low on oil. The taste of vegetables, Paneer has always been very fresh. Have also been ordering lots of breads like Chilli Garlic Paratha, Plain Paratha, Aalo/Gobhi paratha etc. and have never been disappointed. Overall a great trustworthy place to order for my family.

The food I received is delicious. Nice and spicy, the way I like it. I was dismayed by the packaging, which to my knowledge is not environmentally friendly. The containers were a little faffy and messy (having to cut through the plastic top) to decant from into my own containers. I don't own a microwave, I understand the type of customer this is marketed towards. The huge box contained styrofoam to keep the food cool, but this cannot be recycled. In summary, the food is great but more efficient and environmentally friendly solutions for packaging can be used.
